Seismic Retrofit

///liquefaction Testing

On April 2, 2019, Ram Jack participated in groundbreaking testing of remedial helical piles supporting existing foundations taking place at the University of California, San Diego. Funded by PEER (Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center) the testing was the first of its kind to happen in the United States. The goal was to show the predictable performance of helical piles under a structure in seismic liquefaction zones.

Helical Piles are the less expensive and least invasive solution to seismic upgrades. Using helical piles for seismic retrofit only caused this building to settle .5" instead of 11" which is what it settled without the helical piles.

The testing proved successful for Ram Jack, revealing the superior performance of Ram Jack helical piles in such conditions.
