Ram Jack west commercial case study

New Public Library in Gladstone, Oregon

Scope of work

Ram Jack West is proud to be a part of the construction of the new public library in Gladstone, Oregon. The project involved shoring up existing neighboring buildings and properties using bracketed micropiles and a retaining wall that included soldier piles.

The 6,000-square-foot library will be located at the corner of Portland Avenue and E. Dartmouth Street, on the site of the former Gladstone City Hall. It will include meeting spaces, dedicated areas for children and teens, a book drop with exterior access, self-checkouts, public computer access, staff workrooms, and public restrooms.

The redevelopment of Portland Avenue in Gladstone was sparked by the construction of the brand new Civic Center, completed by P&C in the spring of 2020.
