Scope of work
- The original design for the project was to use helical piles.
- We conducted a helical test program at 3 locations, and due to the soil's stiffness, it confirmed our doubts about using helical piles. The piles were not reaching the minimum torque and failed to reach adequate depths.
- Subsequently, we conducted a micro pile program, which performed very well.
- Ram Jack worked with the geotechincal engineer and the design team to value engineer a micro pile solution.
