Ram Jack west commercial case study

Vancouver Home Retaining Wall

Scope of work

This Vancouver homeowner wanted to create a more level yard space behind his home. In order to achieve this, we proposed a soldier-pile-and-lagging type wall with timber lagging and driven steel h-piles at the existing residence to be located at the top of the slopes along the western and part of the northern property boundary of the lot. We installed 19 6" steel beams with 2 to 4 ft exposed as needed to level the yard behind the wall. The finished height of the wall had to be no less than what is required to match the elevation of the yard to the elevation of the home's lower floor.
